Disney Destiny Day 1: Boarding, Stateroom Tour and First Impressions on Our 7-Night Western Caribbean Cruise

Finally Stepping Aboard

We have been looking forward to this one for a long time. The Disney Destiny is Disney Cruise Line's newest ship, and day one of our 7-night Western Caribbean cruise was our first chance to see it for ourselves.

Boarding day is always a mix of excitement and getting our bearings, and this time it came with the extra fun of exploring a ship that was brand new to us.

Our Stateroom

Once we could, we headed to our stateroom to settle in. This is where we would be calling home for the next seven nights, so we took our time looking around and walking you through it in the video.

Haunted Mansion Parlor and the Rainforest Room

Exploring the ship took us to the Haunted Mansion Parlor, which we think is one of the coolest bars on board. It was an early favorite.

We also stopped by the Senses Spa Rainforest Room, a very different kind of space and a nice reminder that this ship has quieter corners too.

Sail Away and Dinner at Pride Lands

Sail away is one of our favorite moments of any cruise, and watching the Destiny head out to sea felt like the real start of the trip.

Our first dinner was at Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King, which made for a memorable way to close out the first evening at sea.
